Hamper Time 2022
Dakota Collegiate Hamper Time is here again!
Every year, the Dakota Collegiate Hamper Project, fondly known as Hamper Time, takes place during the months of November and December.
Our campaign aims to fundraise enough money and food items to create hampers for Dakota families experiencing food insecurity. These families could use our help in making ends meet at a time when people are celebrating the holiday season. This year, we are hoping to help close to 50 families with donations of food items. We are also raising money for the Winnipeg Free Press Miracle on Mountain campaign.
You can help by donating non-perishable food items or monetary contributions to our project. Food items may be dropped off at the school, or given to your child to bring to their A slot class.
You can also donate directly to the main office with cash or cheques payable to Dakota Collegiate. We are also accepting e-transfers to dcihampertime@lrsd.net.
In the message box, you may specify if you would like your donation to be applied to your student’s A slot point tally by indicating the grade and teacher’s name.
The Hamper Time campaign is a great way to build citizenship for our school. We are the community of Lancer Nation. We want to show our community and our city that we understand what it means to take care of each other!

Our campaign runs from Nov 28 - Dec 13.
Hamper deliveries will take place on December 14th.
