On behalf of the Senior Leadership Team, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Véronique (Véro) Reynolds as Vice-Principal of Collège Béliveau, effective Aug. 1, 2026. The Board of Trustees confirmed her appointment at the Feb. 17, 2026, Regular Board Meeting.
Véro began her career in education in 2003 as a teacher at École Howden. She went on to teach at École Riverside in the School District of Mystery Lake (2004) and École Centrale in the River East Transcona School Division (2006). In 2011, she became a Teacher-Librarian at Collège Béliveau and later also served Collège Jeanne-Sauvé (2013). Most recently, in 2023, Véro has supported students and staff across schools in her role as an Itinerant Indigenous Support Teacher.
Throughout her career, Véro has demonstrated a strong commitment to approaches that promote student voice, equity, dignity, and Indigenous perspectives. She is known as a collaborative and well‑organized educator with a welcoming attitude and genuine enthusiasm for learning and community building.
Through her leadership and coordination of the Louis Riel School Division’s Indigenous Youth Leadership (IYL) gatherings, Véro has made meaningful and lasting impact on Indigenous students across the division. She has created intentional, welcoming spaces where Indigenous youth are encouraged to share their voices, strengthen their identities, and build confidence as leaders through relationship‑based, land‑connected, and community‑centered experiences. Her work with IYL has fostered a strong sense of belonging and pride among students while amplifying youth voice and advocacy, reflecting her deep commitment to Indigenous ways of knowing, being, and doing.
We look forward to welcoming Véro into her new leadership role and are confident she will be a valued member of the Collège Béliveau administrative team.
