🍩 Staff Appreciation Week – Feb. 9–13

This year’s theme is:

“We DONUT Know What We Would Do Without You!”

Students will bring home a donut‑shaped template on Monday, January 26th.
 They are invited to write a message to a staff member who has made their time at Samuel Burland special.

Notes for families:

• Help your child choose who they’d like to recognize.
• Students may write directly on the donut or type/print/glue their message.
• Donuts will be displayed in the front entrance and main hallway.
• Return completed donuts by Friday, February 6th.
• A Word document with donut templates is attached for early starters.

❄️ Bundle Up for Winter Fun

Please ensure students come with a warm coat, hat, mittens, and boots so they can enjoy outdoor recess and activities comfortably.

Outdoor decisions follow LRSD’s Maximum Outdoor Instruction Time guidelines using wind chill readings from The Forks.
