๐ฑ Samuel Burland Cell Phone Charter
Each year, we review and share our Samuel Burland Cell Phone Charter with students and families.
The charter outlines our expectations for responsible cellphone use at school and helps ensure that technology supports a safe, respectful, and focused learning environment.
Please see the attached document for the full Cell Phone Charter, along with the accompanying quick-reference guide highlighting the key expectations.

๐ School Arrival & Dismissal: Safety Reminders
With many students, buses and vehicles arriving and leaving at the same time, we appreciate everyone helping us keep these areas safe.
Staff Parking Lot
The staff parking lot is for staff vehicles and daycare pickup only.
Please do not use the staff parking lot for student drop-off or pickup at the beginning or end of the school day.
๐ Bus Loop
For the safety of our students, vehicles may not enter the bus loop after 8:30 a.m.
Keeping the loop clear allows our school buses to safely drop off students without interference from other traffic.
Thank you for following these expectations and helping us keep arrival and dismissal safe for everyone.
๐ School Safety & Controlled Access
A reminder of our controlled-access procedures:
- ๐ Exterior doors remain locked during school hours.
- ๐ช Families, visitors and community members must enter through the main entrance (Door 1).
- โฐ Students arriving late after 9:00 a.m. or 12:45 p.m. should enter through Door 1.
- ๐ To enter the school, please use the doorbell at Door 1 or call the school office at 204-254-0124.
- ๐ During busy drop-off and pickup times, we ask adults to wait outside the school.
- ๐ชช All visitors must sign in at the school office and wear a visitor badge while in the building.
- Before leaving, visitors should sign out and return their badge.
Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and welcoming school environment.
