  • Unveiling the Next Chapter: Introducing the Second Edition of the Multi-Year Strategic Plan

On June 20, the Louis Riel School Division (LRSD) Board of Trustees approved the Multi-Year Strategic Plan (MYSP) for 2023-2027.

“Belonging, Mastery, Independence, and Generosity continue to be the pillars that underpin the MYSP, and they will continue to support the vision we have for our growing and thriving community through to 2027,” said Sandy Nemeth, LRSD Board Chair.

All four strategic priorities must be considered, implemented, monitored, and sustained in unison. The MYSP is a braiding together of four strategic priorities into one cohesive vision and commitment to actions that will support students and staff flourishing at school and at work.

“I’m excited for the next four years and the audacious strategic actions we’re committing to undertake,” said Christian Michalik, Superintendent & CEO of Schools. “We can be bold and audacious because the MYSP builds on the division’s 21-year journey, tremendous assets, and strengths.”

All 25 strategic actions will compel pedagogical and managerial undertakings. To see some of the boldest strategic actions come to fruitionuniversal full-day kindergarten, a universal healthy foods program, expansion of safe, active, and equitable transportation to and from schoolwill also require a political undertaking that garners support from provincial and city governments and builds coalition with like-minded Manitobans.
