  • First week information and reminders

We had a great school opening last week. The first week of school is always a special time filled with anticipation, excitement, and a touch of nostalgia. Whether you're a returning parent/guardian or new to our school community, please know that you are an essential part of our Archwood family. Together, we will create an environment where our students can thrive, learn, and grow. Here is some first week information and reminders.

School Parking and School Bus Loop

Parents are encouraged to use the adjacent residential streets for student pick-up and drop off.  Students should cross Archibald at Gareau (controlled crosswalk) when the patrols are on duty, or they should be escorted by a parent.  The Holy Family Church parking lot is used as a school bus loop. When the loop is in use by the busses, all traffic laws regarding school busses are in effect.  Violations of these laws may result in tickets and heavy fines.

The school parking lot is closed to traffic during the loading (2:55-3:15) and unloading (8:00-8:20) of school busses.

See the information graphic below for an ariel view of our bus loop area.

    Lunch Program & School Fees

Classroom supplies are purchased in bulk by the school for a fee of $50.00. If your child stays for lunch, the Lunch Fees have increased to $90 this school year. This fee covers the cost for lunch supervisors.

    Visitors to the school

All visitors to the school are asked to please report to the office first.

We value the home/school partnership as an essential part of supporting all of our students. We look forward to working with you and your children as we navigate the 2023-24 school year in the best way possible.

    Take care,

    Alana & Bob
