    Background information

After a building assessment in the 2021-2022 school year, the LRSD Board of Trustees approved the designation of the construction of a new single-track French Immersion school to replace École Varennes as a priority capital project request with the provincial government.

The division is working with Number TEN Architectural Group who have prepared a detailed Class D design and cost estimate for the project. This finalized design incorporates feedback from community consultations held in November and December and will support the request the division has made to the Manitoba government for this capital project.
