  • Powwow Club Returns!

The Louis Riel School Division (LRSD) is excited to announce that after an extended hiatus due to COVID, that Powwow Club will once again be returning. This year, the division will be offering Powwow Club at Nelson McIntyre Collegiate. Please review the updated information below.

Students from all schools in LRSD are invited to participate and no prior experience is required. Transportation and supervision of students is the responsibility of families and/or the home school.

Powwow Club has been an excellent opportunity for students, families, and staff to come together as an inclusive community while celebrating and learning about Indigenous culture. Powwow Club will culminate with participation in the Graduation Powwow in early June.

If you would like to volunteer at Powwow Club or would like additional information or clarification, please contact Corey Kapilik or Shelly Hopper.

Each session will run from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. at Nelson McIntyre Collegiate. Dance instruction will take place for the first hour followed by a light snack and Sharing Circle on the following dates:
