Members of the LRSD public are invited to attend the Louis Riel School Division's annual Public Draft Budget Consultation Meeting for the 2019–20 school year.
The event takes place on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Registration is not required unless childcare is required. RSVP to Susan Fardoe if you require childcare.
This meeting follows the initial Public Budget Consultation Meeting last fall on November 13, 2018. At that meeting, Trustees and administrators listened to the educational budget priorities of attendees. A survey was conducted with attendees and made available online to anyone that wanted to provide feedback. Those who would still like to take the survey may do so until the final budget is passed at a special public Board Meeting on March 12, 2019.
At the upcoming meeting on Tuesday, February 12, Trustees and administrators will share the 2019-20 Draft Budget with attendees. In addition to an invite to members of the LRSD community, students, parents and staff will be present to take in the details of the new budget and have an opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback. Divisional representatives will also update the community on an ongoing consultation process to redevelop LRSD's Mission, Vision and Values statements.
All LRSD community members are welcome. So come out and participate in your local educational democratic budgeting process!
