Principal's Bulletin
Friday June 18, 2010June ReportIt is difficult to believe that the school year is drawing to a close. Time has passed very quickly but each month brought new excitement and opportunities that provided rich sources for growth and learning. Our staff, students and parents have worked hard as a community in order to create a rich, positive learning environment.
We are extremely grateful for all the wonderful contributions and support that our Victor H. L. Wyatt Advisory Council has provided for us. It is through their ongoing efforts and dedication that we are able to support our students in many extra ways that would otherwise not be possible. We would also like to thank our volunteers that have given unselfishly of their time in order to provide support for staff and students. Our school community is richer because of our volunteers.
We would also like to extend best wishes and happiness to those families of the Victor H. L. Wyatt Learning Community who will be moving to new school communities over the summer. We hope that you have a very positive and rewarding experience in your new community. We hope that you also take away many fond memories of Victor H. L. Wyatt School.
Victor H. L. Wyatt’s ‘Celebration of Learning’ will be held on the afternoon of June 24 at 1:00 PM for our grade seven, eight, and nine students. This day will also serve as our farewell to our eights and nines. This is the first, and likely only, time in the history of the school that we will have a farewell celebration for two grades. This is the last year that Victor H. L. Wyatt has grade nines in the school. This is also the first group of grade 8 students moving on to high school. We welcome family and friends to join us for this very special occasion. After the “Celebration of Learning”, grade eight and nine students will join Victor H. L. Wyatt staff for a Farewell Dinner at the Holiday Inn on Pembina. Parents, please drop off your student for 5:30 PM (dinner at 6:00) and pick them up by 10:30 PM.
The month of June has many activities planned. Students are also getting ready for Divisional Track, Aboriginal Day celebrations, the Goldeyes, field trips and finishing the academic year while anticipating the new activities of next year. June is an extremely busy month!
It has been a very rewarding and exciting year at Victor H. L. Wyatt School. We will continue to build upon our successes and our students will reap many benefits. We wish everyone a very safe and relaxing summer. On behalf of the entire staff at Victor H. L. Wyatt School, we once again want to extend a special thank you to everyone in the Victor H. L. Wyatt Community for your support in making this another outstanding school year.
Have a Happy and Safe Summer Holidays! All the best!
Mr. R. Wagner Mrs. A. Walker
