Dance in the Park - May 27

Dance in the Park is an annual celebration of traditional folk dances. Students from our Grade 1 to 3 classes have been practicing the dances for weeks and are eagerly anticipating this special event.

Dancing will take place on Monday, May 27 between 10:30 am and 1:00 pm in the playground adjacent to Victor H. L. Wyatt School located at 485 Meadowood Drive. Parents and grandparents are most welcome to join us!

Parking close to the playground will be challenging as we expect students from 13 schools from across the Louis Riel School Division! Carpooling and public transit are strongly recommended. Please be advised that there will be NO parking in the school parking. Parking can be found at the St. Vital Arena and on adjacent side streets. Winnipeg Transit Route 55 via Meadowood provides regular service right to the school.

What to Bring?

Other items to remember are:
    1. bagged and labeled lunch
    2. water bottle
    3. hat
    4. sunscreen
    5. mosquito repellent
    6. well-labeled, layered clothing
    7. beach towel or blanket to sit on
    8. shoes appropriate for dancing – no sandals or flip flops
