Principal's Bulletin
Monday July 5, 2010Summer EditionMessage from the Administration
École St. Germain is a wonderful learning community for our students, staff and
parents. We are very proud of the efforts and accomplishments that make École
St. Germain a quality French Immersion School.
Greetings to our new families who have registered for next year (56 kindergarten
students and 4 Grades 1 - 5 students) and farewell to those who are leaving the
school. We wish you well in your new school community. To our Grade 8
students, we wish you the best on your next “learning adventure”, and ask that
you remember the many lessons that you have learned over the years.
Remember, always do your best both academically and behaviourally.
We want to wish a very happy retirement to Mme Yvette Martin, Grade 4 teacher
and teacher-librarian. We thank her for all of her contributions to École St.
Germain.
We are saying au revoir to the following staff: Mme Lindsay Wowchuk, who
will be teaching at École Bonaventure next September, M. Dan Philippot, who
will be moving on to École Varennes as a grade 7 teacher , M. Aimé Gautron
who will be teaching grades 5/6 at H.S. Paul, and Mme Becki Gordon, who will
be teaching at Samuel Burland /George McDowell.
When we have staff leaving, it also means that we are welcoming new members
to our community. Bienvenue to Mme Lindsey Tremeer (Grade 7), Mme Rachel
Albrecht (grades 2/3), Mme Krystyn Moquin (Grade 6), Mme Lynn Fajardo
(Grade 4 and teacher-librarian), and Mme Randi Rowland (Kindergarten). We
also welcome Mme Susan Greco, a new addition to our secretarial staff.
Some assignment changes for some of our staff members include Mme Lynne
Braun (Grade 1) and Mme Ginette Paillé (part-time Student Services, and halftime
grade 4).
École St. Germain will once again be conducting two days of Opening Day
Conferences. These conferences will be held on September 7th and 8th.
(September 8th and 9th for Kindergarten.) To book your conference time, you may
call the school commencing August 31st. All parents and students are expected to
attend. An information letter was included with your child’s June progress report
card.
The last school bell will soon ring to signal the end of the 2009 - 2010 school
year. We wish you all a safe and happy summer.
Andrea Kolody, Principal Amy Haworth, Vice-Principal
