Lighthouse Program
The St. George Rainbow Lighthouse is an after-school program designed to offer youth aged 9-16 a safe, fun and supervised environment that provides the opportunity to participate in recreation and education-based programming. An initiative of Neighbourhoods Alive and the Manitoba Department of Justice, the program is designed to provide youth access to structured and meaningful programming during their “free” or leisure time.
The program is managed through a Community Steering committee involving members of the school community, the community at large, as well as members of Neighbourhoods Alive.
The program runs throughout the school year has been running since September 2001.
