June is Here

As the school year draws to a close, I would like to thank the students, staff and parent community for the warm welcome that I have received this year as principal of Shamrock School. I have appreciated the support that the Parent Advisory Council provides for the school, and encourage more parents to get involved, whether it is in attending meetings or volunteering to serve hot lunches or the many other volunteer opportunities that exist. Any contribution of your time, large or small, is valuable.

Our year end celebrations include the grade 5-7 Celebration of Learning on June 24th and the Grade 8 Farewell on June 25th. Parents will be receiving the year-end report cards on June 26th, with early dismissal on the 27th. Please remind your children to bring all of their belongings home for the summer as the school will not reopen until the week of August 18th. This includes rented band instruments.

Our opening conferences will take place on Sept. 2nd and 3rd. Please see your child's report card envelope for conference times and for next year's supply lists.
