Victor Mager Adult EAL & Settlement at René Deleurme Centre

The Victor Mager Adult EAL & Settlement Program is an important partner program at René Deleurme Centre

The Victor Mager Adult EAL & Settlement program provides settlement information and English language classes to newcomer adults who live in the St. Vital and St. Boniface area.

The starting point for most new immigrants and refugees throughout Winnipeg is the ENTRY Program. Following completion of the ENTRY Program, clients are given an appointment to have their English assessed, and are then referred to an appropriate EAL program.

The Victor Mager Adult EAL program provides part-time classes, with childcare for 2, 3, and 4 year-olds. Clients are referred here because they live in the area and:

  • They are parents with pre-school children, or
  • They work and cannot attend full-time EAL

Schedule of Daytime Adult EAL Classes

Benchmarks 1 and 2: Monday to Friday, 12 noon to 2:30 p.m.
Benchmark 3 and 4 Monday to Friday, 9:00 – 11:30 a.m.
