Principal's BulletinFriday June 15, 2012Children's Festival - 2012CHILDREN'S FESTIVAL- 2012 On June 14th, the Kindergarten - Grade 4 students participated in a Children's Festival, especially designed for them by the Niakwa Place School Parent's Association. This annual event, is greatly anticipated by many of the students. Mrs. Kristen Trottier provided the organizational leadership and her dedicated team of volunteers, created 12 different craft activities for the students. Grade 5 students provided assistance and together the students created some amazing crafts. Scratch and sniff painting, eye ball clips, and jewelry were just a few of the activities. The morning concluded with an entertaining performance by Mojo the magician! The afternoon had a Dr. Suess theme and all of the Grade 1 - 4 classes participated in indoor and outdoor games. The afternoon concluded with an old fashion, staff vs student tug -a- war. It was a great day and on behalf of the students and staff of Niakwa Place School, I would like to thank all of the volunteers who contributed in various ways!
