What's Happening?

Time is valuable, and keeping track of school events and activities can be challenging. What's Happening? is a quick-reference tool that provides information about developments that affect students, parents, staff and the school community.

How many students participated in the Grade 7 basketball tournament? When and where is the workshop about Internet safety occurring? How do I sign up to volunteer at my child’s school?

Visit monthly to learn more about the school’s upcoming events.

What's happening in October?

Welcome to October!

Hasn't the weather been nice? Wednesday, October 1 is bus ridership day. After school that day there will be a Cross Country track meet at St. Vital Park. On Monday, October 6, federal Conservative candidate, Rod Bruinooge will be at the school to speak to the Grade 9 students. At 4:00 p.m. on October 8, there is another Cross Country track meet at the Royal Canadian Mint. Student council elections will be held on Friday, October 10. Tuesday, October 13 is Thanksgiving. There will be no classes that day.

The evening of the 15th will be the divisional Choral Celebration. October 17 is a division-wide professional development day for all staff. There will be no classes that day. Our next PAC meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 21 at 7:00 p.m. All parents are welcome. October 22-23 will see our Grade 5-6 classes head off for some fun at Camp Arnes. Our next staff meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 28. That means pizza lunch and early dismissal (2:30 p.m.). Lastly, there will be a junior high dance at school on the evening of the 30th.

Have a great month!
