George McDowell School is part of a vibrant educational community, in which students, parents and staff contribute to, and recognize the commitment to excellence in learning, and the development of the whole student as a contributing member of society.

Mission

George McDowell School is a K–9 educational institution within the Louis Riel School Division committed to providing the opportunity and support for all students to discover and develop their full potential and abilities in a setting that demonstrates:

• emphasis on the development of skills, abilities, attitudes, knowledge and experiences needed to succeed in education and society as a whole
• a willingness to try new learning opportunities supported by the cooperation and teamwork of families, staff and the community
• care and respect for others, and the environment in which we live
• care and concern for the safety of all students
