June at Marion

A wonderful year of learning is coming to a close, and as always, June promises to be eventful at Marion School. Amidst all of this, the teachers are still teaching, the children are still learning, and we are working to finish off the year’s work, as well as plan for next year! As we dream of sunny days, I want to thank the staff of Marion School for all their hard work this year. We have accomplished a great deal as a school community! It is through their efforts that our students are able to enjoy so many learning experiences inside and outside of the classroom, as is evident by the many wonderful events planned for our students in June.

On June 15th, we will be inviting our volunteers to a Volunteer Appreciation Event to thank them for their contributions this year. They have been important role models for our students, demonstrating the value of service and volunteerism. We send a special thank-you to the members of our Parent Advisory Council who have contributed so much to support our students this past year. We are also grateful to the Board of Trustees and Superintendent’s Team of Louis Riel School Division for their support of the students at Marion School. We are very fortunate to be part of a caring and forward-thinking school division.

We are proud of the many students at Marion School who have served their school community this past year. Many of them have learned the value of being part of a caring learning community. Our Grade Eight students are anticipating the move to the high school setting, and to send them off in style, we are holding a Farewell to Marion event on June 24th. We wish all of those who are leaving Marion School the best in their future and hope they retain fond memories of their time with us. We look forward to welcoming those returning and our new families in September to our Marion School learning community. On behalf of the Marion School staff, I wish all a healthy, wonderful summer break!
