Library Services

The role of the school library at Island Lakes Community School is to support teaching and learning goals that ensure students develop as information literate learners. The tools for realizing those goals are designed around active learning environments, access to information sources, and the use of inquiry-based teaching and learning, and collaborative teaching and learning.

All school staff, including the teacher-librarian and library assistant, work together as educational partners to support best practices of school library programs and services within the school learning environment.
