What's Happening?
Time is valuable, and keeping track of school events and activities can be challenging. What's Happening? is a quick-reference tool that provides information about developments that affect students, parents, staff and the school community.
How many students participated in the Grade 7 basketball tournament? When and where is the workshop about Internet safety occurring? How do I sign up to volunteer at my child’s school?
Visit monthly to learn more about the school’s upcoming events. What's happening in May?May includes many field trips and fun experiences for our students where learning may happen outside the classroom. The Kindergarten students will visit Hadashville, the Grade 1-3 students will participate in Dancing in the Park at St. Vital Park, the Grade 4 students will participate in Orff Workshops, the Grade 5 students are building bird houses, the Grade 6 students are going to camp, and the Grade 7 & 8 students are participating in Badminton and Track & Field.
Our Grade 3-8 students will also participate in Hinode Taiko drumming—an activity that combines rhythm and movement to create music. We are looking forward to this special event that will happen May 28-30.
The Grade 6 students are off to Camp Red Rock from May 21-23 where they will participate in wall climbing, canoeing, and mountain biking just to name a few activities.
May is an exciting time and it is hard to believe that the 2007-08 school year is less than two months from being completed.
