Announcements for March 10, 2010

  1. Operation Donation is underway. Students are encouraged to bring in non-perishable food items to support Winnipeg Harvest's food drive this year. Our goal is to bring 1000 food items to the Louis Riel School Division Board Office for the drop-off this month. If we reach this goal, students will be awarded an extra half an hour of lunch time in appreciation of all their hard work and the use of their cell phones during lunch hour without penalty! As part of this initiative, each PEP class will also be awarded points based on the number of items that they bring in, which will be attributed to their school color. Let's go, Team Bleu!!!
  2. Students who would like to attend ATC next year must hand in their registration forms to Mme Roy by March 22nd.
  3. There will be a Junior Varsity and Varsity Badminton practice on Thursday, March 11th from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m.
  4. The Girls JV Basketball team will have a meeting on Wednesday, March 10th at 12:15 in the gym.

Did you know that this Sunday is the 14th day of the 3rd month?  That means that it is 3.14!!!  We will be celebrating the International Day of Pi this Friday, during the lunch hour.  With all that has been happening this year with earthquakes in Haiti and Chili, we have decided instead to sell pieces of pie and ice cream.  All the money raised will go to Operation Donation.  Desserts will cost $2 each, so come out this Friday in support of this cause.
