Before-&-After-School Program

Program:

Our Program is a licensed childcare Centre, regulated by the Province of Manitoba. We offer a balance of structured and unstructured activities that are developmentally appropriate. Our Early Childhood Educators provide a nurturing environment that gives the children the opportunity to choose individual activities or group play in various play spaces located in and around Ecole Henri-Bergeron. We offer homework support, and nutritious snacks.

The Program operates in Rooms 7, 17, 19 on the second floor at Ecole Henri-Bergeron

Hours of Operation:

September – June

Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. – 5:50 p.m.

Winter Break

Spring Break

Summer Months

In-service Days:

Child Care is provided on In-service Days provided the school is available.
The school is locked down on In-service Days—entrance is only permitted by use of our intercom system located at the front door. (Enfield Cres.)

Staffing:

We have qualified, caring, committed Early Childhood Educators working with the children. All staff members maintain current First Aid and C.P.R. certification, and have undergone Criminal Record/Child Abuse Registry checks.

Staff to Children Ratios:

Grade 1 – Grade 6—Staff to children 1:15
Kindergarten—Staff to children 1:10

Child Care Fees:

The Policies of the Province of Manitoba and Happiness Is… Inc determines the cost of childcare. Subsidy is available through Manitoba Family Services and Housing for those who qualify. For further information please access www.gov.mb.ca/childcare.
