Academic Credit Options for High School Students

 
The Academic program offers Grade 11 and 12 high school credits for secondary students enrolled in a Technology Education Program at ATC. The program features self-directed, on-line delivery that allows students to complete course modules at their own pace.  Academic credits are scheduled into class periods with a certified teacher where one-on-one assistance is available.  Academic classes need to be arranged with home school or ATC counsellors.

Mature Student High School Diploma Program

Grade 11 and 12 academic courses are offered to students who wish to obtain a Mature Student High School Diploma. This may be done in combination with an ATC program certificate. The program features self-directed, on-line delivery that allows students to complete course modules at their own pace.  Students may attend full or part time, and may access course content at school and home.  Academic credits are scheduled into class periods with a certified teacher where one-on-one assistance is available.  For registration requirements see registration - entrance requirements.

Diplomas

Provincial High School Diplomas will be issued once all graduation requirements have been met.

  • Regular High School Diploma issued to students who complete 29 credits and meet all provincial requirements.
  • Technology Education High School Diploma issued to students who complete 29 credits with a minimum of 8 credit options in a Technology Program.
  • Mature Student High School Diploma issued to adult students who complete 8 credits with 4 being at the Grade 12 level.
  • Dual High School Diploma may be issued to students who complete all requirements for the Regular and Technology Education High School Diplomas.

Tuition and Fees

Adults who register prior to September 30th may be fully funded by Manitoba Education, Citizenship & Youth. Cost per academic course after the deadline may be assessed at $400.00 per course.

Application Fee: $20 non-refundable (Adults only)
Tuition: nil - for registration prior to September 30th
Academic Program: $100.00 - refundable upon completion of course requirements
Student Fees: $25 per semester
Textbook Fee: $50 (refundable)
Textbook(s): no cost - supplied by the school
Additional Costs: may be required for materials or supplies
