Budget
Since community needs and school requirements are ever-changing, the Board of Trustees of the Louis Riel School Division continuously faces the challenges of adopting an annual Budget to meet those needs.
Changing factors such as divisional requirements, revenue from grants and inflation can affect divisional expenditures and tax levels; therefore, the Board of Trustees regularly reviews projections of expenditures.
The Board of Trustees functions as defined by The Public Schools Act legislation passed by the provincial government, and all school divisions use the standardized method of accounting and financial reporting called FRAME, Financial Reporting and Accounting in Manitoba Education.
