March brings Operation Donation—a food drive to support Winnipeg Harvest. We’re well on our way to surpassing our target of one donation per student and staff member. This project aims to help our community in the short-term through donations of non-perishable food and in the long-term by cultivating a spirit of generosity in our young people. Thanks for your support!

Outings this month include French plays for our K–6 students. The plays are performed by the British Columbia troupe Francofolk. Both plays will be held at École Howden on March 12:

La légende de la chasse-galérie (Grades 4–6)

March also brings I Love to Read month. Activities will include guest readers and outings to the St. Vital Public Library for certain classes.The Scholastic Book Fair will also be held during the Student Progress Conferences on March 3 & 4.

Lastly, a request to spread the word about our upcoming Kindergarten Information Evening (March 10 at 7:00 p.m.). All interested parents are welcome to attend. Kindergarten Registration will take place the following week for children born in 2005.
