The school year continues to be filled with wonderful learning activities and special events for our students.

As you review report cards with your children, it is important to help children understand not only what they need to improve, but also how they can improve. Please help them to set goals and discuss strategies how to attain those goals. It is very important that children have a parent/guardian to share their learning with at our Portfolio Conferences on March 4th. We look forward to every child having a caring adult to share with. March 9th at 7:00 p.m. we are looking forward to sharing information with parents at our Kindergarten Information Meeting.

We look forward to performing for you at our Spring Concert March 18th! Please mark your calendar and plan to attend to support our students. We are also in need of curling supplies March 16th – 18th so that our grades 7/8 students can enjoy a wonderful curling experience. If you drop off the equipment at the office, we will ensure it is labeled and returned to you. We need many sliders and brooms.

I would like to express my appreciation for the hard-working and skilled staff at Marion School. We would like to thank the Parent Advisory Council for co-sponsoring a Staff Appreciation Luncheon on Friday Feb. 5th. I encourage all parents and students to continue to take a moment to demonstrate your appreciation for the staff at Marion School in some way. It is very motivating to hear what you value and you believe we are doing well!

I hope to see more parents at the Parent Advisory Council Meeting on March 1st at 6:30 p.m. Please join us for a snack and participate in supporting your child’s school. The Parent Advisory Council invites everyone to support their “Bud, Spud, and Steak” fundraiser March 26th. This is an important opportunity for parents to build community and support the Parent Advisory Council.

They do wonderful things for our students and really need your support. Please help Marion School continue to be a great school for your children.
